The weddingsonline Awards 2014 were announced last night at a glamorous black tie ceremony in the stylish surroundings of Clontarf Castle. The winners of 34 hard fought categories for Ireland’s most prestigious annual wedding awards were announced on the night, creating a buzz of anticipation and much friendly rivalry between the hundreds of guests representing the country’s finest wedding businesses and services.
I myself was nominated in the “DJ Of the Year 2014” category and made the final 4 shortlist out of a total of 11 entries. I was also the only Mayo DJ from all the finalists. It was my first time getting to the final and I was delighted to be a runner up in this category and received this prestigious certificate!!!
Over 31,000 brides and grooms nationwide voted for their top suppliers and venues in a wide range of categories, who were then judged by a panel of expert industry specialists. Judges this year were former owner of award winning bridal boutique White Orchid, Alex Reilly who has produced some of Ireland’s most popular programmes such as Runaway Bride and The Voice of Ireland, Ireland’s leading sales and communication skills expert Mark Richardson, who is also the founder of www.IrishMysteryShopping.com, Krishna De, CEO of BizGrowthMedia and Digital Marketing Guru and Ken Fitzpatrick, CEO of the Digital Marketing Institute, who has 13 years’ experience in leadership positions in the digital sector.
